Sunset of SMS as multi-factor authentication
days left!
Nasdaq will decommission SMS OTP codes and voice call as Multifactor Authentication (MFA) options on December 31, 2025.
Users are strongly encouraged to ensure they are enrolled in another approved MFA method prior to this date to avoid interruption in service.
After December 31, 2025 users must use one of the following multifactor authentication methods in conjunction with their email and password:
Okta Verify (supports push notifications if you want to avoid entering codes)
Google Authenticator (or similar Time-Bases One-Time Password application)
Yubikey / Windows Hello / WebAuthn (and compatible)
Once you have downloaded and installed an MFA application from the above list, please see the setup guide for these options here:
https://help.signin.aws.nasdaq.com/mfa.html
(Note that this page may still mention voice/SMS until those options are fully retired; please ignore)
